Lets Ruin the Party

Arsenal vs Manchester United, it’s not the clash everyone was hoping for, which was that it would be the title decider as Arsenal choked up their chances. But rather it’s a clash of pride, Arsenal have had nothing to cheer about of late, and Man United have had quite the opposite, and I for one am tired of going to work and the guy sitting next to me is suddenly a Man United fan…. “David Beckham for life”

Today sees the Gunners host Man United who are on route for a record breaking 19th league title, I say lets ruin their party, if not only for a while. Arsenal have home ground advantage and need to remind people that we are still a great side, we may have gone yet another season without winning anything but let’s go out in style. I for one am very excited for this game and I pray that the Gunners can win, so I can were my Arsenal shirt to work tomorrow and do a little victory dance.

If we look at the potential sides I would say they would line up as so:

Arsenal (4-2-3-1)
Szczesny; Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy; Song, Wilshere; Walcott, Fabregas, Nasri; Van Persie.

Manchester United (4-4-2)
Van der Sar; Rafael, Smalling, Vidic, Evra; Valencia, Anderson, Carrick, Nani; Hernandez, Rooney.

On Paper, come on even Man United fans would have to say we have more class, at least in the midfield, defiantly not our defence, which as Fletch has put it, is like a sieve. But Arsenal’s class has not shown in this last third of the season and United have shown their BMT. As history tells us United have an edge on us and certainly in recent times United have won the last 4 meetings and Rooney has scored in 3 of those. Let’s hope today is different because, Arsenal today will play for themselves and for the fans and to show people they are still a great side (will be the greatest next season) so let’s ruin their party and maybe even give Chelsea a hand.

For Arsenal who haven’t had a lot to shout about its nice to have look back at the class acts of old……
