Gooner Hope

As expected, Arsene Wenger has attempted to put his foot down and said that Nasri and Fabregas are staying. Does the manager want to keep a player that has stated he wants to return to Barcelona? His heart is in Catalunya... and Cesc would love to play for Guardiola, his idol. Cesc said: "Pep Guardiola has always been my biggest idol on the pitch".
If the club is not winning titles, showing the intent to win titles by strengthening the lady-like defence, then the players have every right to want to move on? Wenger says Nasri “owes” Arsenal for bringing him to the spotlight. Maybe loyalty is warranted, but Arsenal owe Nasri the ambition that all big players crave. His performances in the early part of the season proved he deserves to be seen as an Arsenal star. The way Arsenal fans talk about him, you would swear he was Messi’s child... Personally, I believe he will sign a new contract and continue to go trophyless.

Arsenal are on the verge of signing Gervinho. He would fit the Arsenal playing style better than Bendtner and Chamakh do. So this could be a step in the right direction and might put a smile on the depressed Gooner faces. Maybe this signing would end speculation about Samual Etoo  moving to the Emirates?

The signing that most Arsenal fans are waiting for is either Chris Samba, or Gary Cahill to plug the leak in the defence. Reports say that Arsenal want both? That is advisable because their defenders wouldn’t play for Wigan, let alone league champions. Both Players will be in excess of 10 million. Especially Cahill, whose passport now warrants an extra 30% to the transfer fee apparently.

I am sure that there will be plenty movement in their squad, but they will have to replace the Denilson’s, Diaby’s and Bendtner’s of the world with quality, but quality is often expensive.

Let’s see whether Arsene wants to win the league again...

“Keep the Faith” ;)
