The transfer window is open. Liverpool and Man United have not wasted any time and have splashed out on English youngsters.

Liverpool have signed highly rated youngster, Jordan Henderson, 20, for 20 million pounds. That may seem expensive, but it is actually a good piece of business. He is young, English and highly talented (sensing a pattern with Kenny's signings?). He already has one senior English cap to his name. He is surely Steven Gerrard’s long term replacement. He was a stand out player for Sunderland, playing 37 games last season. for so he is ready to "step it up".
i feel that Henderson is the 1st of many signings for Liverpool. Its exciting times at Anfield. I see a top 4 finish next season.

Man United have sealed a 16million pound deal for the highly rated Phil Jones, 20, from Blackburn. The centre back has been a senior professional at Blackburn for that 2 season’s, and is even regarded as a possible future captain of England by Harry Rednapp (who missed out on Jones). I really like the player and is obviously very highly rated if Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea all tried to sign him when Man United Swooped. Jones joins Smalling and Evans as another talented British youngster joins Man United.

Man United are reported to be in talks with Aston Villa for Ashley Young, 25, for 20 Million pounds. The Englishman would fit in very well and add creativity, pace and positional options to SAF. Great Signing.
The de Gea signing will hopefully take place after the Euro u21 (watch that-great talent on show). I am not that confident the deal has been done as most paper have suggested. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens in 5 weeks time.

Aaarrgg - Let me leave to a real club!

It seems the rumours about Nasri and Man United could be true, with Arsenal to receive the 1st bid today. I am not quite sure to make of this to be honest. He is a class player who has improved over the last 2 years at the Emirates but will Arsenal allow him to go to Man United, their over shadowing rivals? I am not sure Arsene Wenger will allow this, even if he wants to leave Arsenal. Not when Cesc’s future is also not quite certain. This will make Arsene give little Samir the wage he is looking for... So to be honest, I cannot see this one happening – but let’s hope I am wrong.  The boy would fit in well at Old Trafford.

In other Transfer news: Arsenal have signed young defender, Carl Jenkinson, from Charlton. A deal done well before the end of the season.  Elmohamady (decent crosser of the ball), the Egyption, signed permanently at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland have made a 12 million pound big for Darren Gibson, Wes Brown and John O'Shea. I can see SAF accepting the bid as he brings in younger talent... Sunderland will be very busy this off season. They need 2 or 3 strikers and have to replace henderson, loanees welbeck, Muntari and Onuoh.
There is a hell of a lot of noise coming from Juventus, with new manager, Conte, looking to biuld a new team to challenge AC Milan and Inter for silverware. Big Premier league names like Essian and Walcott have been mentioned. I can personally see that child-like, tempremental, ugly, clown Tevez go to Juve. Watch this space...

We are yet to hear transfer news from Spurs, plastic Chelsea and Moneybags, but it’s still very early... I am sure that this is the start to an extra special transfer season.... I am excited.

Over and Out

Fletch
